Back to school – with a new debt justice law!

It's back-to-school time – and the government has homework to do!

The worst debt crisis in a generation is denying millions of children in lower-income countries the basics of their education – from teachers to textbooks.

In Malawi, where the government spends more on unjust debt repayments than education, less than half of children complete primary school. Only 15% finish secondary school. It's an appalling injustice that is stealing children's futures.

Later this year, there's a big opportunity coming up to turn the tide on the debt crisis when the UK takes over the presidency of the G20.

With the debt crisis at its worst in 35 years, the government has a major assignment ahead: put debt justice at the top of the G20 agenda.

Don't let them fail their biggest test on debt in decades. Email your MP today with a back-to-school assignment and tell them to put education before debt.
