Celebrating Debt Justice Birmingham

The Debt Justice (Jubilee Debt Campaign) Birmingham group has played a pivotal role in the global debt movement for over two decades.

On 16 May 1998, 70,000 of us surrounded Birmingham as G8 leaders met. Together we made our voices heard and between 2000 and 2015, $130 billion of lower-income country debt was cancelled.

This January, we are celebrating the groups' contribution to winning debt justice across the world, and recognising over two decades of activism, by planting a tree in central Birmingham.

Donate to the tree and plaque today to mark our acheivements and the historic protest in 1998.
