The climate is in crisis. From hurricanes to floods to droughts, we can see and feel it happening all around us.

This year is crucial – the UK is hosting the global climate conference, COP26. Come with us to Glasgow to take action this November.

For countries in the global South, the situation is already extreme. They are least responsible for the emissions causing the crisis, and the worst affected. One huge issue standing in the way of coping is debt.

Campaigners and leaders from global South countries are demanding debt cancellation so that they can have some hope of adapting and rebuilding in the face of the climate crisis.

Not only are they being ignored by rich countries, but worse still, climate disasters are leading to more debt as countries borrow to rebuild. It’s a vicious cycle.

But we can have the chance to try and change this.

With you at our side, we’ll be at the big climate demo, as well as planning our own smaller stunts. You don’t need to have any experience, just lots of enthusiasm, and we’ll be with you every step of the way!

What: Join Jubilee Debt Campaign at COP26 in Glasgow!

When: 4th-7th November 2021

What’s included: Travel and accommodation. You’ll have your own room and we’ll be staying in Edinburgh, a 40 minutes train ride from the action. We’ll pay for you to catch the train to Glasgow each day.

How are we selecting people? We’re looking for a mixture of new and experienced activists from a range of backgrounds. We will prioritise people who would not otherwise be able to afford to attend COP26.

Accessibility: Unfortunately we’ve been unable to secure wheelchair accessible accommodation, due to very high demand for accommodation in the area. You’ll be staying in a townhouse with narrow stairs up to the bedrooms. You’ll be sharing four bathrooms between six people. Please let us know about any additional access requirements you have and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.
