People aren’t choosing not to pay – many simply can’t! But instead of offering support, councils are using violence, harassment and intimidation – sending in the bailiffs.
A knock at the door from bailiffs can be hugely traumatising and even impact mental health. Worse still, the cost of the bailiff visit is added to people’s bills – leaving them hundreds of pounds further in debt.
